Explore Jordan

Jordan, on the east bank of the Jordan River is bordered on the west by Israel and the Dead Sea, on the north by Syria, on the east by Iraq, and on the south by Saudi Arabia.  Dry, arid hills and mountains form the major part of most of the country.  Jordan is home to the famed archaeological site of  Petra, known by its nickname, the "Rose City”- as it is carved in pink sandstone and is set in a narrow valley with tombs, temples and monuments .
